You will be asking why this Hush in a period like this when the studio updates should be very frequent.
Here it is: after 12 years, we have been forced to change monicker because of a homonymy with an american black metal band that has obtained the exclusive right, although started using the monicker later.
It has been hard to accept, but we could do nothing.

San Francisco Bay Area progressive extreme metallers CORMORANT have recently unveiled a brand-new logo and several new merch designs, which will be available at their upcoming triple-headlining gig with Slough Feg and Giant Squid (+ Helms Alee, and La Fin Du Monde).
Says bassist/vocalist Arthur von Nagel, "To go along with the aesthetic of our upcoming album "Metazoa," we're proud to announce a brand new logo, courtesy of artist Julie Dillon. Julie will also be gracing "Metazoa" with an album cover of her design. While she's mostly known for her book illustrations, she's interested in branching out into artwork for music projects. Murder Manifest replaces guitarist

Guitarist and first time member Anibal Ojeda decided to leave dutch death thrashers Murder Manifest due to personal reasons.
Now joining the group is Kevin Olinga who will make his live debut with the band during Murder Manifest's forthcoming European tour. Kevin is the younger brother of drummer Jarno. He is also part of the metalband Thronar.

Resurrecturis first videoclip on-line

Italian metal veterans Resurrecturis have released their first professional videoclip on YouTube on February 1st 2009.
The song “The Fracture” is an outtake from Resurrecturis 3rd album “Non Voglio Morire” (I don’t want to die), due out in the coming weeks on English label Casket Music, a sub-label of Copro Productions.
Shot on location in three days, the video deals with the necessity to express fears and traumas filtering them through artistic creation, a theme which is common to
many musicians, performers and artists.
For this reason "The Fracture" derives its imagery and inspiration from the world of contemporary art and more specifically the works of Viennese Actionists like Gunter
Brus and Hermann Nitsch.
The collaboration with emerging Italian artist, Samuele Santi, who lent the band some of his works to be included in the set, added a important visual element to the video and reinforced the links with the artistic world that the “Non Voglio Morire” project is intended to have.
“The Fracture” videoclip will be included in the digipack edition of “Non Voglio Morire” on a bonus DVD along with other video material.

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following "open letter" on the band's official web site:
"METALLICA, as you know, has been selected to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. So, it is with much respect that I say congratulations!
"I also had the nice surprise of hearing that they called to invite me to the pre-ceremony party the night before, and then to the actual ceremony. Unfortunately, as you all know, I will be winding down our European tour with JUDAS PRIEST, so I will be unable to attend. However, I'd like to say to Lars (Ulrich) and James (Hetfield), I am so very proud of all you have accomplished. I will continue to pray for the very best for you and your families, as I always have.
"Thank you for the invitation and thinking of me."
MEGADETH's "Priest Feast" European tour with JUDAS PRIEST and TESTAMENT is scheduled to wrap on March 23 in Amsterdam, Holland.
METALLICA will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during an April 4 ceremony at Cleveland's Public Hall.

Guitar Hero Metallica Comes With Slice Of Lemmy

Metallica announced today that Guitar Hero Metallica will feature Motörhead's Lemmy Kilmister as a playable character, presumably when one plays the band's hit "Ace of Spades," one of many guest tracks in the game.
It should be a very profitable year for the English bassist, as he'll also be appearing in the similarly umlauted Brütal Legend from Double Fine Productions, with "Ace of Spades" also licensed for Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned. Unconfirmed is a guest appearance from Lemmy's mole, which is rumored to appear in the next Puyo Puyo title from Sega.

The Italian Thrasher Sothis announces the split with the front-man Franco Topitti. After 10 years of concerts, records and incredible satisfaction, the band feel the obligation to guarantee, without to interfere, the suffered choice to leave due to characterial differences.
We infinitely thank Frank for all the sweat, the blood and the tears that gave us, memories that we will never forget!
Sothis informs therefore of being officially to the search of a new singer.
The geographic origin and the background is not determining, are fundamental
instead, blink and attitude!

Vocalist Eric A.K. of FLOTSAM AND JETSAM has recorded guest vocals on three songs from THE ALIEN BLAKK, the band led by guitarist/producer Joshua Craig. METALLICA's 'Death Magnetic' Debuts At No. 1 In Europe

According to Billboard.biz, two official days of opening sales were enough to drive METALLICA's "Death Magnetic" (Vertigo/Universal) to the top of European Top 100 Albums. The LP, released last Friday (Sept. 12), goes straight to the summit in the United Kingdom, where it was leaked for early release 24 and in some cases even 48 hours ahead of the official launch. Sales there had reached 75,000 by the end of Saturday, while "Magnetic" also arrives at No. 1 in France, Denmark, Portugal and the Belgian region of Flanders, No. 2 in neighboring Wallony and Spain, No. 3 in Ireland, and climbs 7-1 in Norway.
